Oh hey cheer bases!

This week we are talking to you! 

This #WORKOUTWEDNESDAY is coming at ya hot – hot – hot and  focused on helping you improve technique and build strength – both physically and mentally.  *Flyers, backs, and all my other fit friends – this is still a great read and workout for you too – so read on!

Now let’s get to it. You see, as a base you are the foundation of your stunt group – pretty important huh? Yup!

With anything, building a solid foundation is the key to success and stunting is no exception. The stronger you are both physically and mentally, the better your entire stunt is!

As we focus on technique, I also want to take a minute to talk about form. I can’t tell you how many times I see lower back injuries due to improper form! If you ‘muscle up’ that stunt, you are not using correct form or strength. You are simply relying on u-m-p-h to get that stunt up and technique goes out the window. What happens when there is no technique? You get hurt,  especially in that lower back area.

So for today’s workout, I want you to be extra aware of proper form – and carry that awareness on with you to practice and competition.

Ok, now for the fun stuff – workout time!

For this week’s #WORKOUTWEDNESDAY we’ve got 4 main exercises that I want to complete for 45 seconds each and repeat the circuit 3 times.

Although this workout is essential for bases, it is perfect for the entire stunt group and all my fitness enthusiast friends out there who want to rock a cheer bod’.

Alright my bases how are we feeling? Now this week at practice, remember your technique, your form and commit to each stunt both physically and mentally.
