CAN YOU SHARE WITH US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR JOURNEY AND HOW YOU GOT TO WHERE YOU ARE TODAY?

My name is Julieanna Luzunaris and I am twelve years. I have been cheering for three years and I currently cheer with Infinity All Stars in Jacksonville Beach, FL. I am on Senior Supremes which is a Senior 2 Team and Royal Divas which is a Junior 3 Team. Prior to cheer I studied Karate for five years and earned a black belt. I am currently working on my punch front and my standing and running tuck. I had a setback last year when I broke my leg one week prior to our 1st competition. I have overcome six weeks in a wheel chair, three weeks in a walking cast, and three weeks in a walking boot.

I also had to do physical therapy for three months. All of these setbacks have not stopped me from cheering and I continue to work hard to achieve my goals. When I am not at cheer I take violin lessons and I volunteer in my churches nursery. I help take care of the babies while their parents are at the church service. I also like to hang out with friends and like to listen to music. Fitness is an important part of cheer and life in general. I have to maintain a fit and healthy body in order to cheer and also to avoid injuries.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS?:

Some of my accomplishments are that I’ve gone to The Summit many times and placed in the Top 7. Just last weekend I won my first competition this season. I also have won state and many national championship titles!

HOW HAS BEING AN AMBASSADOR HELPED YOU REACH YOUR GOALS?

Being a CHEERFIT Ambassador helped me in so many ways, some of them are getting fit, building confidence, reach new skills, new stunts and also becoming a better leader each and everyday!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT BEING A CHEERFIT AMBASSADOR?

My favorite part of being a CHEERFIT Ambassador is that I like to share with my friends about how fun this is, having every single one of the people in my cheer life.

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO TELL OTHER PEOPLE WHO WANT TO BECOME A CHEERFIT AMBASSADOR?

I would like to tell others that this program is so much fun and that the other ambassadors will always support you and help you out if you need it!

WHAT ARE 3 THINGS ALWAYS IN YOUR CHEER BAG?

My phone, hair ties, and hairspray.

Why are BURPEES our Favorite Exercise???

Yes it is true, BURPEES are our FAVORITE exercise! We know, sometimes when you hear the word BURPEES you think ughhh do I have to….until now! Today we are dropping our top 3 reasons why we LOVE burpees and why you’ll love them too!!

 

REASON #1: BURPEES GIVE YOU ALL THE ENDURANCE YOU NEED TO GO FULL OUT

You know that feeling after you go full out and right after the music stops you want to collapse to the floor and out of breath? Don’ you just HATE that feeling? Don’t you just wish you could instead feel energized and excited after completing your routine? Well my friends, that is why BURPEES are awesome! They give you that endurance to go full out AND feel like a champ after!

 

REASON #2: BURPEES WORK YOUR ENTIRE BOD’ IN HALF THE TIME

It’s competition season, we know you don’t have a ton of extra time (if any lol), but that is where burpees come in! They give you that TOTAL BODY workout all in ONE! So do 15 reps x 3 times throughout the day and you will be rocking that #cheerfitstrong ALL SEASON LONG!

Today we meet Scarlett, a base for Milkyways in New Jersey. Scarlett has been a CHEERFIT Ambassador since July 2017 and all we can say is progress, progress, PROGRESS! Scarlett continues to step out of her comfort zone while challenging herself to the FULLEST! Now THAT’S what we call being #cheerfitstrong ! We are throwing high 5s for Scarlett because although she is a base, she’s always working on her stretching! Fitness is very important to me because it helps me stay in shape and I will grow up to live a long healthy life. Every morning I wake up with my father and my twin brother and we go for a 1.5 mile run before I get ready for school. I can’t thank my father enough for instilling this in me at such a young age, it is something that I will continue for the rest of life.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS?:

In the state of Nevada we take a reading and math test, to determine where we are. The base score for all students was 130 and my score was 145. I take school very seriously. Without an education, you have nothing.

HOW HAS BEING AN AMBASSADOR HELPED YOU REACH YOUR GOALS?

Although I am only 5 years old, I volunteer in my community by helping my parents feed the homeless once a month. I also donate all my old toys, shoes, and clothes to the woman’s shelter so other kids can have nice things as well.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT BEING A CHEERFIT AMBASSADOR?

Although I am new, I have followed the CHEERFIT page for a while with my mother. It has helped me learn and reach skills that I have seen. It has also made me feel really good about the things that I do and to not be scared.

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO TELL OTHER PEOPLE WHO WANT TO BECOME A CHEERFIT AMBASSADOR?
