Being bullied is something that hurts people.
I myself was bullied when I was younger, and although some bullies may ‘grow up’ and apologized – the memories will never leave.
As your cheerFIT Ambassador, I am here to share some tips that helped me and can help you too.
1. I listened to music all the time, all different types. Music helped inspire me. Listen to what you like, what you enjoy and focus on the happiness music can bring you.
2. I found my creative outlets – I drew. I would not say I am a pro artist -ha but even the bad drawings made me laugh.
3. The biggest things that helped me overcome everything was CHEERLEADING. I started cheerleading in the fall of 2014 with one of my best friends. Although it was a lifestyle change – I mean going from not doing much physical activity to weekly practices games, etc..it was the best decision I ever made! What kept me going was that I knew that I would become healthier and more confident.
As a cheerleader, I have learned many of the values and life lessons I share today. Teamwork, motivation, confidence and determination are some of the many skills I have learned and taken with me as I grow. Cheerleading motivated me to be the person I am today. I know it is always hard to see to the other side and not let those bullies get in the way but all you have to do is set your mind to something.
Whether it is sports, music, arts do what makes you, yourself. Remember, people cannot tell you how to live your life that is something you chose on your own.

I am excited to become a cheerFit ambassador because after being bullied for my weight I think that this would be a great way to get girls and women to have the feel good healthy body they already have. When I was younger I did not do any sports and was not the confident person I am today. I found my passion for cheerleading and it has helped me in so many ways! I was able to get fit, feel great, build confidence and now help and encourage the younger girls who feel they are not enough. Along with fitness, love inspiring others and cooking healthy foods.
