Staying in cheer shape over the summer is extremely important for athletes for many reasons.

Summer time is a time where we can frequently lose track of schedules. We can relax and just be free. However it is important to also remember to schedule time for your physical fitness. Not only is it healthy for your growing body but it will also be very beneficial when that season begins again. You’ll want to keep up with the skills that you have as well as push yourself to develop new skills. This will only start you off stronger each year that you cheer. You will advance so much more physically and mentally if you can continue to work hard all summer long.

Staying in shape over the summer is easy. there are so many option out there!

  • Go swimming.
  • Start a jogging group with your friends.
  • Use a trampoline to practice your jumps.
  • Watch online videos and blogs with your siblings for new ideas.
  • Join a social media group for fitness.
  • Contact your coach for new ideas.
